What are the indications for the T3 PRO Implant?
T3 PRO Dental Implants are intended for surgical placement in the upper or lower jaw to provide a means for prosthetic attachment in single tooth restorations and in partially or fully edentulous spans with multiple single teeth utilizing delayed loading, or with a terminal or intermediary abutment for fixed or removable bridgework, and to retain overdentures.
Is Immediate Loading supported by T3 PRO?
T3 PRO Dental Implants may also utilize immediate loading for these indications. T3 PRO Dental Implants are intended for immediate function on single tooth and/or multiple tooth applications when good primary stability is achieved, with appropriate occlusal loading, in order to restore chewing function.
What clinical evidence is available on the T3 PRO Implant?
Numerous global multi-center clinical studies have documented successful outcomes using implants with the Osseotite surface technology.
In a prospective observational clinical study (ongoing at LSU Health School of Dentistry) T3 PRO dental implants achieved higher IT and ISQ values with acceptable clinical performance like PD, BoP, Implant survival and at 1 year follow up showed minimal bone loss. Overall patient satisfaction was excellent. Study is ongoing.
What are the benefits of Certain Internal Connections?
The foundation of T3 PRO Dental Implant remains the unique Certain connection compatible with SureSeal technology which ensures a stable and tight implant/abutment interface, thus minimizing abutment micromotion and potential microleakage.
An independently executed gas-enhanced permeation test (GEPT) study performed at University of Zurich showed Certain connection to have the best sealing against gas, saline and bacteria amongst other flat-on-flat and conical connections.
What versions of the T3 PRO Implant are available?
T3 PRO Dental Implants are available with and without platform-switching feature. In platform-switched T3 PRO Dental Implants, the outer edge of the implant-abutment interface is repositioned inwardly and away from the outer edge of the implant platform.
The ZimVie Immediate Molar Implant System was designed to address the challenges of immediate placement in complex molar extraction anatomy. T3 PRO Immediate Molar Surgical Kit accommodates placement of T3 PRO Immediate Molar Implants with the Certain Connection.
What are the indications for the Tapered Screw-Vent (TSV) Implant?
TSV Implants are designed for use in the maxilla or mandible for immediate loading or for loading after a conventional healing period. Implants may be used to replace one or more missing teeth. Immediate loading is indicated when there is good primary stability and an appropriate occlusal load.
What clinical evidence is available on the TSV Implant?
Documented prospective clinical survival rates for 1,553 Tapered Screw-Vent MTX Implants:
- Implant survival rate mean 98.7% (range from 95.1% to 100%)
- Follow-up times range from 3 to 120 months (mean = 36.4 months)
Numerous other short-term (<5 years) studies have further documented the quality and performance of TSV Implants under immediate and delayed placement conditions, as well as immediate and delayed loading.

What are the benefits of the TSV Friction-Fit Internal Hex (Platform Plus) Connection?
The proprietary Platform Plus Technology creates favorable conditions for crestal bone-level maintenance.
The internal hex creates a Friction-Fit connection that shields the crestal bone from occlusal force.
The lead-in bevel connection reduces horizontal stresses better than flat “butt-joint” connections.
The 1.5 mm deep internal hex distributes bite force deep into the dental implant.
How is primary stability with the TSV Implant achieved in soft bone?
The soft-bone surgical protocol, using a straight final drill for the tapered implant, enables bone compression and provides additional stability in poor quality sites.
In dense bone, the stepped finishing drill enables apical bone engagement for initial stability.
What versions of the TSV Implant are available?
TSV Implants are available in both MTX® microtexturing and MP-1 ® HA coating options. Dental Implants are offered with and without crestal microgrooves and machined collar or texturing to the top to maximize flexibility, tissue management, and crestal bone maintenance in a variety of clinical conditions.
Are GenTek ASC Ti-Bases different from the BellaTek Flex and Express Ti-Bases?
The key differences between GenTek ASC Ti-Bases and BellaTek Flex and Exptess Ti-Bases are:
- 3 collar heights available in GenTek ASC Ti-Bases
- Friction Fit Technology for TSV/TM and TSX GenTek ASC Ti-Bases
- Final screw and Gluing screw packaged with GenTek Ti-Bases
What collar heights of ASC Ti-Bases are compatible with Encode emergence profile?
The available collar heights are configured depending on the connection system as follows:
- 1.3 mm and 2.6 mm collar heights for TSX / TSV, TM and T3 PRO / Certain Connection
1.7 mm and 2.6 mm collar heights for Eztetic Connection
Will the use of GenTek Ti-bases with Standard Post, impact my chairside CEREC workflow?
No, there is no impact or change to the chairside workflow you currently use. Once the crown is milled, proceed to the gluing process using GenTek Ti-Base with Standard Post instead of the Ti-base you currently use to restore Zimvie Implants.
Does ZimVie have a compatible holder for GenTek blanks and if yes, which milling machines is the holder compatible with?
ZimVie stocks the Zfx™ Pre-milled Abutment Blank Holder, Standard “ZFX02PMSH”, which can be clamped with all dental disk Ø98mm holders. Contact our sales team for more information.
Does ZimVie have a list of validated milling centers that clinicians can work with?
For your convenience, here is the list of validated milling centers that can fabricate the superstructure and/or hybrid crown for TiBase Abutments, or customize Pre-milled Abutment Blanks.

In which clinical cases is the use of the OsseoGuard membrane indicated?
The OsseoGuard membrane is slightly more rigid, with easy handling for greater space maintenance.
The recommended indications for the use of OsseoGuard are as follows:
- Localized ridge defects/future socket preparation for implant placement
- Bony defects around implants
- Extraction sockets
- Bone regeneration after root extraction
- Coverage of the sinus window and repair of sinus membrane perforations.
What makes the OsseoGuard Flex easier to handle and in which clinical cases is its application indicated?
The OsseoGuard Flex membrane has fewer external collagen cross-links in its design, which makes it easier to handle.
The recommended indications for OsseoGuard Flex are as follows:
- Bony defects around implants, immediate or delayed placement in extraction sockets
- Localized ridge defects
- Ridge reconstruction
- Regeneration of bone lesions
- Guided bone regeneration in dehiscence defects
- Guided bone regeneration in periodontal defects
Why implants fail?
Dental implant failure can occur for several reasons including significant bone loss, peri-implantitis, and poor placement/aesthetics.
Short-term failures can be attributed to a process called osseointregation where healing in the bone has not occurred.
Long-term failures can occur after healing and the implant is integrated into the bone. The most common and most difficult long-term failure to treat is called peri-implantitis.
